The Medical Assistant performs a variety of functions such as answering telephone calls and relaying messages in the clinic’s call center; verifying patients’ demographics and insurance information, and scheduling appointments. This particular role will be working primariliy in the front office.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong verbal/written communication and active listening skills
- Excellent interpersonal and telephone communications skills
- Legible handwriting
- Basic computer skills to include keyboarding, mouse movement and data entry skills to enter information accurately into the electronic medical record (EMR)
