We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant II to join our healthcare team.
This position requires pediatric care experience, proficiency in EPIC, and bilingual fluency in Spanish to provide top-notch support for both practitioners and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care & Support: Provide care to patients and their families with professionalism and compassion, within the scope of a Medical Assistant (MA). Assist the healthcare team in executing the medical plan of care efficiently.
- Clerical & Clinical Duties: Perform a variety of clerical and patient care tasks, such as rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs accurately, administering injections, and maintaining medical records.
- Bilingual Communication: Utilize bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills to assist Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring they understand their care plan and receive the support they need.
- Pediatric Expertise: Apply pediatric care experience, including administering vaccines, to ensure the health and well-being of young patients.
- EMR Proficiency: Effectively use the EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system to document patient information and assist with coordinating follow-up care.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with licensed medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, contributing to a positive and efficient clinical environment.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Certification: Current CPR certification.
- Training: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care setting, with specific experience in pediatric care and administering vaccines.
- EMR Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical record systems, with preference given to candidates experienced in EPIC.
- Clinical Skills: Ability to room patients, accurately document vital signs, administer injections, and manage medical records with precision.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to multi-task and consistently practice excellent patient relations and customer service skills.
Education: High School
Certification: cardiopulmonary resuscitation Certification
